Hi, I'm Vanessa Mahoney - recently Dr. Mahoney! My doctoral thesis investigated the electrophysiological effects following cardiac injury, including myocardial infarction (heart attack). As much as I loved my research, I realized I was more interested in the science of business and money. As such, I recently transitioned to the field of advanced analytics and am functioning as a senior strategy consultant.
Outside of work, you probably won't find me sitting down - unless of course it's to work on my blog. ;) I love training for full and half marathons, making new creations in the kitchen or on a canvas (acrylic and water painting), volunteering (I visit the most amazing senior), playing soccer, and attending entrepreneurial and women empowering events in the city. I'm also a voracious reader of fiction and non-fiction alike... so I'll admit I am sitting quite more than I originally contended. :)
