The Cover of the Economist on January 4th, 1996. http://www.economist.com/node/2515389 Today the Supreme Court voted 5-4 that the right to same sex marriage is a Constitutional right. This makes me proud. I'd like to take a moment to revel in the enormity of this important decision. Rather than try to birth a beautiful quote, let me just reference this article from The Economist. The article was nearly 20 years ago, and probably not received as well as it would have today, but bravo. In order for meaningful, important changes to come about, we must be willing to stand tall against opposing currents and fight for the changes we seek. Today, I am proud to be an American.
